Bahia grass should be watered deeply and infrequently, about once a week during periods of little or no rainfall. Watering should be done early in the morning or late in the evening to minimize water evaporation. The grass should be watered enough to wet the soil to a depth of 6-8 inches. Overwatering can lead to disease and shallow root growth.
